I play video games. I am a middle-aged woman who plays video games. I don’t know any other woman my age who does. That can get a little lonely. Fortunately, my husband plays video games, and now my kids do too. My brother also plays, and we sometimes play together. So, I’ve found my people.
I don’t play much. I know playing can be addictive, so I try to only play during the weekend. And even then, I set a timer.
I started playing when I was very little. My dad got us an Atari. I played Mario Bros and Asteroids, mostly. Then came the Nintendo. Video games have evolved so much.
Right now, I have a PlayStation 5, an Xbox, a Switch, and a computer. I really can’t complain.
My favorite series to play is the Zelda series. But I’ve branched out. I mostly like open-world games. Besides Zelda, my favorite open-world game so far is The Witcher 3.
And that’s all I have to say about that for now.
